Description
Students learn to think about and express business problems in quantitative terms. They examine the basics of number theory, arithmetic operations including ratios and proportion, percentages, graphing, and algebraic operations. Students get an introduction to probability and statistical analysis.
Topics include descriptive statistics, probability distributions, sampling, estimation, hypothesis, testing, simple and multiple regression and correlation. Students learn to apply quantitative tools to solve a variety of business problems and create and spreadsheet software.
This course is a pre-requisite to MMG525 Decision Techniques for Managers.
