Tutoring and Academic Support

It is getting toward the busy part of the term. If you need assistance with your writing or coursework, we strongly encourage you to reach out to a tutor. Cambridge College has many professional tutors available in reading, writing, math, statistics, accounting, ABA, technology, and MTEL support. Introduction to the Cambridge College Online Library

CC Librarian Jeff Cronin will be offering a webinar on the Cambridge College Online Library and how it can help you. We will briefly introduce our library resources and services, including reference 24/7 and APA guides for citing sources. There will also be an opportunity for questions.

 

Community Time

'Community Time' is a monthly event and an opportunity for students, faculty, and staff to spend an hour together to share their experiences and build a stronger CC community. Each 'Community Time' event will have a topic for discussion and provide an opportunity to share your story, as well as connect with peers and colleagues in a safe space. At this meeting, we will hear news about our Student Council and ways to get involved, chat about the fall semester and your holiday plans, and there will be time for an open discussion as well. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about how to join the meeting. MTEL Workshop - Communication & Literacy

MTEL tutor Christine Zuppa will be offering an MTEL workshop for those who need to take the Communication & Literacy tests.

Writing - Wednesdays, 12/7 & 12/14, 5 - 7:30 p.m. (ET) via Zoom

Session A: Establishing Main Idea, Grammar, & Punctuation

Session B: Writing & Editing a Summary / Composition

ePoster Workshop

Thursday, December 8, 5:00 - 6:00 p.m. (ET) via Zoom. Click here to register >>.

An ePoster is a digital presentation format required in some undergraduate and graduate classes, as well as a good format for presenting in many professional situations. ePosters apply the skill of remediation, the process of taking a text and translating it into a new medium. In this one-hour workshop, students will learn the basics of ePosters, including use of templates, examples of effective ePosters, and tips and tricks for strong presentations. 

 

English Conversation Group 

Our English Conversation Group is designed to help English language learners practice conversational skills in a safe and structured environment. English Conversation Groups meet virtually via Zoom every Monday and Thursday (except federal holidays). There is no charge to attend, but registration is required.
