7/11/2022 Academic Affairs Weekly Student Update

Hello Cambridge College Students:

This is the time of the term when many of you will start to have major assignments coming up. If you are struggling with your courses or a particular assignment, keep in mind that our Academic Success Center offers free live tutoring (on Zoom) to any student who needs help with coursework, assignments, research papers, and the like. Our professional tutors have expertise in writing, math, statistics, accounting, technology, and MTEL support. To make an appointment with a tutor, log into Starfish and click on Academic Success Center on your home screen. For more detailed instructions, see the information on the Tutorials Page on MyCC or click here>>.

This week we are excited to share the following announcements:

Cambridge College Librarian, Jeff Cronin, will provide an introduction to American Psychological Association (APA) 7th edition citation style. He will discuss how to format the most used sources for papers, the basics of in-text citations, and resources you can use to help with APA.

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting. If you need additional information, please contact Jeff Cronin at Jeffrey.Cronin@cambridgecollege.edu.

Canvas Training Course

If you need Canvas training, consider the self-guided Canvas training course. All students are automatically enrolled in the CST100: Canvas Student Training course. When you log into MyCC, go to the gray area left menu bar (Quick Links) where you will find a link to “Canvas.”  Click on that link for Canvas access. If you haven’t already accepted it, the top of the screen may display a message informing you of your enrollment in the CST100 Canvas Student Training. Click on “Accept” and you are ready to begin the course starting at the “Home” page. This Canvas course is self-guided, not timed, and contains the same material covered in the live monthly scheduled Zoom sessions.
