11/21/22 Student Update

11/21/2022 Academic Affairs Weekly Student Update

Hello Cambridge College Students:

This will be a short week, and we are all looking forward to the upcoming holiday break. If you have time this week, we have a few excellent workshops coming up and our student support services are continuing without interruption.

Tutoring and Academic Support

This is the time of the semester when many of you will start to have major assignments coming up. If you are struggling with your courses or a particular assignment, keep in mind that our Academic Success Center offers free live tutoring (on Zoom) to any student who needs help with coursework, assignments, research papers, and the like. Our professional tutors have expertise in writing, math, statistics, accounting, technology, and MTEL support. To make an appointment with a tutor, log into Starfish and click on Academic Success Center on your home screen. For more detailed instructions, see the information on the Tutorials Page on MyCC or click here>>.

Community Time

'Community Time' is a monthly event and an opportunity for students, faculty, and staff to spend an hour together to share their experiences and build a stronger CC community. Each 'Community Time' event will have a topic for discussion and provide an opportunity to share your story, as well as connect with peers and colleagues in a safe space. At this meeting we will hear news about our Student Council and ways to get involved, chat about the fall semester and your holiday plans, and there will be time for an open discussion as well. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about how to join the meeting. Please contact Vera Dimoplon at vera.dimoplon@cambridgecollege.edu for more information about this event.

Do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or need support.

Wishing you a wonderful Thanksgiving!
