How do I Find Online Classes?

Because we are no longer using Moodle for completely online courses, online courses for this semester are categorized as Distance Learning, and have the location code of “DL”.

  • To view GRADUATE online courses:
    • select “2018-2019 All Spring Courses” in the “Term” dropdown on the Course Search page,
    • select “Graduate” in the Division dropdown,
    • select “Distance Learning” from the “Campus” dropdown.
  • To view UNDERGRADUATE online courses
    • select “2018-2019 All Spring Courses” in the “Term” dropdown on the Course Search page,
    • select “Undergraduate” in the Division dropdown,
    • select “Distance Learning” from the “Campus” dropdown.

To Find Hybrid Courses:

We are working on finding an easier way for you to locate hybrid courses. In the meantime, the best way to search for any class is to:

  • Look at your program sheet or academic plan, or meet with your advisor to see what class/es you need
  • Enter the three letter course prefix (WRT), in the “Course Code” dropdown
  • Enter a space using the space bar
  • Enter the three digit number course code (102)
  • Select “Search” to see all available options in all locations, times, and modes.

Hybrid courses have codes that look like this:

Cambridge: “CH” as a location code, so CCP 518 CH01

Springfield: “SH” as a location code, so CCP 518 SH01

Lawrence: “LH” as a location code, so CCP 518 LH01

Puerto Rico: “PH” as a location code, so CCP 518 PH01

Other Changes

You’ll see a different selection of search criteria, or subterms, when you click on the “Term” dropdown on the Course Search page. These changes were necessary for numerous reasons.

If you want to see ALL spring courses, select “2018-2019 Spring All Courses” from the dropdown. This is not to be confused with “2018-2019 Spring Full Semester Courses”, which are all “regular semester” courses that start at or near the beginning of the term and end at or near the end of the term, whether they’re in seat, hybrid, or online.

Weekend Intensives:

Weekend Intensives were assigned a subterm based on in what month they begin. Students taking a weekend intensive class that begins part way through the semester should be able to add/drop online at least up until the end of the month before the class begins. So for example, if a class begins April 11th, online add/ drop should be available at least through midnight on March 31st. This may eventually be fine-tuned, but it’s the default for now.

  • To view Weekend Intensives that begin in January: select “2018-2019-Spring-Weekend Intensives Month 1” in the “Term” dropdown on the Course Search page.
  • To view Weekend Intensives that begin in February: select “2018-2019-Spring-Weekend Intensives Month 2” in the “Term” dropdown on the Course Search page.
  • To view Weekend Intensives that begin in March: select “2018-2019-Spring-Weekend Intensives Month 3” in the “Term” dropdown on the Course Search page.
  • To view Weekend Intensives that begin in April: select “2018-2019-Spring-Weekend Intensives Month 4” in the “Term” dropdown on the Course Search page.

Thank you for your patience as we make these changes!
