Description
Analyze school violence and learn effective ways to respond, investigate approaches to dealing with bullying and discuss policies and legal ramifications of school incidents. Materials and sample school policies are shared. Students review interactive strategies including the integration of social emotional learning, to prevent or de-escalate bullying and harassing behavior, exchange ideas about strategies that work and develop plans for the use of the strategies in their school.
The course is aligned with MA PSTs.
