Description
This course provides students with an introduction to the principles and practices of a variety of play therapy orientations, models and techniques. Students will learn about the history and development of play therapy as a therapeutic and developmental approach in working with children, parents and families. Specific skills, developmentally appropriate and cross-cultural approaches to play therapy will be explored which can be used when working with children and their families in a variety of clinical and educational settings. Experiential learning is a major component of this course
