12/12/2022 Academic Affairs Weekly Student Update     

     

Hello Cambridge College Students,

Scholarship Applications for Spring 2022-2023

To be considered for a scholarship, you will need to apply this week. The Spring 2023 Scholarship Application Deadline is December 16, 2022. For more information and a link to the application form, please click here >>.

 

Cradles to Crayons Coat Drive!

Please donate new or gently used coats for all ages, especially for children and adolescents. Join the Cambridge College Student Council's efforts to make a difference to the children served by Cradles to Crayons! Two drop-off bins will be located at the Security Desk at 500 Rutherford Avenue next to the Security Desk during the week of December 12-16. On Friday, December 16, Student Council members will deliver the donated coats to Cradles to Crayons.

Cambridge College has many professional tutors available, and our Writing Tutors are here to help you with any assignment in any subject that requires writing. APA Bootcamp

Tuesday, December 13, 2022, 7:00-8:00 p.m. (ET) via Zoom. Click here to register >>.

CC Librarian Jeff Cronin will cover the American Psychological Association (APA) 7th edition citation style. We will begin by covering APA basics including how to format the most used sources for papers and the basics of in-text citations. We will conclude by covering resources you can use to help with APA. There will also be an opportunity for questions.

 

LinkedIn: Maximize Your Professional Presence

Are you in need of advice for how to improve your LinkedIn profile? During this workshop you will have a chance to log into LinkedIn to assess your profile and apply what you learned.

English Conversation Group 

Our English Conversation Group is designed to help English language learners practice conversational skills in a safe and structured environment. English Conversation Groups meet virtually via Zoom every Monday and Thursday (except federal holidays). There is no charge to attend, but registration is required.

ePoster Workshop

If you missed last week’s workshop on how to make an ePoster, you can click here to view the recording >>. In this one-hour workshop, students learn the basics of ePosters, including use of templates, examples of effective ePosters, and tips and tricks for strong presentations.
