Congratulations to all of you who have finished up the summer term! We hope you enjoy the break between semesters. Evaluating Information for Research

Evaluating information when researching on the web is essential, not only for your academic studies but for personal and professional reasons also. This webinar will cover how to evaluate online sources for bias and accuracy. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting. Canvas Training Course

If you need Canvas training, you can also take the self-guided Canvas training course. All students are automatically enrolled in the CST100: Canvas Student Training course. When you log into MyCC, go to the gray area left menu bar (Quick Links) where you will find a link to “Canvas.”  Click on that link for Canvas access. If you haven’t already accepted it, the top of the screen may display a message informing you of your enrollment in the CST100 Canvas Student Training. Click on “Accept” and you are ready to begin the course starting at the “Home” page. This Canvas course is self-guided, not timed, and contains the same material covered in the live monthly scheduled Zoom sessions.  

 

Ace the Interview Strategies that Result in Offers

This workshop will introduce students to effective strategies that prepare them to be the stand-out candidate before, during and after the job interview. This workshop will cover the following: preparing for a successful interview –physical and remote, research and job description review, types of interviews and interview questions, salary negotiation and post-interview follow-up. This is a workshop you will not want to miss!

English Conversation Group 

Our English Conversation Group is designed to help English language learners practice conversational skills in a safe and structured environment. English Conversation Groups meet virtually via Zoom every Monday and Thursday (except federal holidays). There is no charge to attend, but registration is required.
