Description
This course reviews the history of special education as well as current laws/regulations pertaining to moderate disabilities, including the relevance of Section 504 of Rehabilitation Act, the ADA & FERPA. Also addressed; Special Education Process, including Special Education Appeal, obligations under (FAPE) & the least restrictive environment (LRE). Participants will demonstrate how to access various elements of special education laws/regulations to support provision of special education services to students with moderate special needs.
