Description

This course introduces the science of behavior analysis, the basic concepts and the basic principles of behavior analysis (e.g. reinforcement, extinction, and punishment). The course includes discussion on the philosophical underpinnings of the science of behavior analysis philosophical assumptions, the dimensions of behavior analysis, radical behaviorism and experimental analysis of behavior, applied behavior analysis, and professional practice guided by applied behavior analysis. This course is a prerequisite for all other ABA courses in the sequence. The course will provide credit hours towards eligibility for the behavior analysis certification examination.
