Description
Investigating Climate Change: Exploring Resources and Data for the
Classroom will help teacher participants deepen their understanding of the key principles of
climate literacy while gaining the skills necessary to incorporate these concepts into their
classroom practice. During two onsite sessions on the North Shore, participants will integrate
the theory and practice of inquiry-based education, phenomena-based instruction, and the
Science & Engineering Practices as they apply to the teaching and learning of climate change.
Participants will investigate phenomena, work with scientists, and take part in inquiry-based
learning experiences. Participants will also develop a standards-aligned final project appropriate
for their teaching context.
