The 2023-2024 Wade Institute Focus Workshops utilize regional resources to offer educators experiences that integrate inquiry-based pedagogy, science and engineering practices, science content, and other core disciplines. The goals of the workshops are to increase science content
knowledge by connecting teachers to experts in the field (scientists, research laboratories, engineers, etc.); to provide in-depth, standards-driven experiences that demonstrate the use of phenomena-based teaching. This Focus Workshop, Animal Adaptations and Bioengineering, will
