My Soda Bottle Ended Up Where? Exploring Plastic Solutions will offer educators the opportunity to explore real-world phenomena through hands-on, minds-on investigations, live discussion, virtual site-visits and small group work using Zoom and Schoology. Throughout Part I, Course Outline and Part II, Class
The course, educators will integrate the theory and practice of inquiry-based education with the Science and Engineering Practices and make connections across disciplinary core ideas in science. Working with educators from Beyond Benign, Salem Sound Coast watch, and with Te Corporation, teachers will explore plastic problems and solutions. They will develop a standards-aligned unit plan and inquiry-based investigations appropriate for their teaching context.
