Online Registration for SUMMER 2019-2020 Courses Opened Wednesday, April 1 at 9:00am!

High priority

It’s almost time to register for your summer courses! Please see below for reminders and helpful tips about the registration process.

June 15th:  Official start date for SUMMER 2019-2020 classes. Some programs in some locations occasionally have earlier start dates, so check your schedule carefully.

June 21: Last day for Add/Drop for FULLY ONLINE courses.

June 22:  Last day for Add/Drop for summer full semester courses.

If you are taking a weekend intensive class that begins part way through the semester, you should be able to add and drop online at least up until the end of the month before the class begins. So for example, if your class begins July 11th, you should be able to add and drop online at least through midnight on June 30th. Always try to add or drop online before you fill out paperwork!

  • Please register for ALL courses, including the ILP, Undergraduate Capstone, weekend intensive courses, and courses that begin later in the semester, before the Add/Drop deadline.
  • Certain courses, such as a repeat course, a full course that requires an instructor’s signature, or an ILP/IRP extension, cannot be added online. In these cases, please submit an Add/Drop form with the required signatures before the Add/Drop deadline. Be sure to sign and date all required areas and pages of the form, including the “Student Acknowledgement of Financial Obligation”, and the “Health Insurance Agreement”.
  • Check your schedule online after you add or drop a class, to make sure the schedule accurately reflects the changes. Also check right before the start of classes to confirm details like hours and room assignments.
  • IMPORTANT NOTE: When you are looking at a class in the search results, please click on the hyperlinked course code (i.e. CCP 518 CA01) to see the specific dates of the class, and any other relevant notes. The “Begin Date” and “End Date” listed on the right side may not show correctly for classes that begin after the Add/Drop date.
  • Your courses may not show up in the bar on the left until a couple weeks before they begin. It’s a good idea to look at the syllabi, especially for weekend intensives, to make sure there are no assignments due on the first day of class. To do this:
    • Go to the “Academics” tab on MyCC
    • Go to the “All My Courses” dropdown.
    • Choose “Current Courses” or “Future Courses” (depends on the date.)
    • This is also how you can view information for your past courses.

YOU MAY BE FINANCIALLY RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY CLASS THAT YOU DROP AFTER THE ADD/DROP DEADLINE, UNLESS THE CLASS HAS NOT BEGUN, SO ALWAYS CHECK YOUR SCHEDULE CAREFULLY.

COURSE SEARCH:

You’ll see a selection of choices available when you click on the “Term” dropdown on the Course Search page.

If you want to see ALL summer courses, select “2019-2020 Summer All Courses” from the dropdown. This is not to be confused with “2019-2020 Summer - Full Semester Courses”, which are all “regular semester” courses that start at or near the beginning of the term and end at or near the end of the term, whether they’re in seat, hybrid, or online.

How do I find online classes for programs that are not 100% Online?

Online courses for the summer semester are categorized as Distance Learning, and have the location code of “DL”. Students enrolled in a 100% Online program are not permitted to register for DL courses.

 To view GRADUATE online courses:

    • Select “2019-2020 All Summer Courses” from the “Term” dropdown on the Course Search page,
    • Select “Graduate” from the “Division” dropdown,
    • Select “Distance Learning” from the “Campus” dropdown.

    • Select “Undergraduate” from the “Division” dropdown,
    • Select “Distance Learning” from the “Campus” dropdown.

How do I find online classes in the 100% Online programs?

Classes in the 100% Online programs end with “OL”, for example, BSM 330 OL01. Students not enrolled in a 100% Online program may also register for these courses. There is only one Fully Online summer session.

  • Select “2019-2020-Summer-Online Summer Session”, from the “Term” dropdown on the Course Search page.

OR:

  • To view GRADUATE online courses:
    • Select “2019-2020 All Summer Courses” from the “Term” dropdown on the Course Search page,
    • Select “Graduate” from the “Division” dropdown,
    • Select “Fully Online Programs” from the “Campus” dropdown.

Hybrid courses have codes that look like this:

Cambridge: “CH” as a location code, so CCP 518 CH01

Springfield: “SH” as a location code, so CCP 518 SH01

Lawrence: “LH” as a location code, so CCP 518 LH01

Puerto Rico: “PH” as a location code, so CCP 518 PH01

Weekend Intensives:

Weekend Intensives were assigned their own category based on in what month they begin. Students taking a weekend intensive class that begins part way through the semester should be able to add and drop online at least up until the end of the month before the class begins. So for example, if your class begins July 11th, you should be able to add and drop online at least through midnight on June 30th. This may eventually be fine-tuned, but it’s the default for now.

  • To view Weekend Intensives that begin in June: Select “2019-2020-Summer-Weekend Intensives Month 1” in the “Term” dropdown on the Course Search page.
  • To view Weekend Intensives that begin in July: Select “2019-2020-Summer-Weekend Intensives Month 2” in the “Term” dropdown on the Course Search page.

LOGGING IN:

If you have forgotten your MyCC user name (your student ID number), please contact the Registrar’s Office by phone or by email at: registrar@cambridgecollege.edu

If you have forgotten your MyCC PIN (personal identification number), please click on the “I forgot my password” link next to the login area. As a continuing student, password reset information will be sent to your Cambridge College email. Here’s a tutorial from the IT department illustrating this process: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZJX50nECK0g

We strongly recommend that you use your Cambridge College email, as that is the official means of contact. However, the Registrar’s Office may also help you reset your MyCC password without using your MyCC email.

PERSONAL INFORMATION UPDATE:

You will be prompted to update your contact and basic demographic information before you register for classes. You will not have full access to the “Course Search” feature after you are logged in to MyCC, until you complete this step. When you are ready to register for the summer, click on the “Registration” tab and then on the “Complete the Personal Information Update form” link. You will be directed toward a form allowing you to review and update your personal information. Once you submit this form, you can proceed with registration as usual. To access the course search tool, click on the “Registration” tab and then on the “Course Search” icon. If you attempt to register where the survey leaves you, in “Add/Drop Courses,” you will likely receive an error message upon attempting to register.

STARTING A NEW DEGREE IN THE SUMMER?

If your current degree (that you are completing this current spring semester) is the basis of admission for your new degree starting in the summer, you will need to graduate from your current degree before you may register for classes for your new degree. In order to graduate in June, you must have submitted an Intent to Graduate form. If we have received your June intent to graduate form, you will see a “Graduation Clearance Pending” hold on your account by the end of the day on Tuesday, March 31st. This “GP” hold is a flag to us that you have submitted your June intent to graduate form, and you will receive a separate email about it if we received and processed your Intent to Graduate form before March 31st.

QUESTIONS ABOUT WHAT COURSES TO TAKE?

Please contact your academic advisor or program chair.

YOU MAY NOT ATTEND CLASSES UNLESS YOU ARE REGISTERED.

Have a wonderful semester!
