FAQ's

Q: How do I get access to Canvas? 
A: You get access to the Canvas general area 30 minutes after our systems confirm that you have registered for a course as a student or are contracted to teach a course as faculty.

Q: Where do I access Canvas?
A: You can get to Canvas by clicking on Canvas under the Quick Links.

Q: I am a faculty member, and I want to get into my Canvas course to set up certain information; when can I access my course(s)?
A: As a faculty member you get access to the Canvas general area and your past courses taught in Canvas. As for your new courses, you can access the course 15 days before the course start date. Your student(s) will get access 5 days before the course start date. Please make sure that you publish the course before the student access, it is not done automatically.

Q: I am a student and I want access to my course to see the syllabus and textbook information; when will I be able to access my course?
A: As a student, you get access to the Canvas general area as described above and access to your past Canvas courses. As for your future courses, you can access the course(s) 5 days before the course start date.
