Connect with your Academic Advisor

Your Academic Advisor, Ashley Murray, will help you navigate the next steps of your academic journey. They will reach out to you once you are accepted with a welcome email which includes next steps, course recommendations, registration instructions, and further details. While you are not required to have meetings with your academic advisor, they are here to answer any questions you may have, ensure you feel comfortable and confident along your  academic journey, and to support you and connect you to the resources available to you at Cambridge College.

Register for classes

Log into the MyCC Student Portal
You will need to access the MyCC portal frequently as a student to register for classes, check financial aid documents and much more. Once you are accepted, you will receive an email from "NewStudentAccounts" with your username and password. You will use these credentials to log in and register for your first term. Be sure to check your spam and junk folders for the email. Please see the Information Technology User Guide for additional information. If you do not get an email, please contact the IT help desk at helpdesk@cambridgecollege.edu.

Note: If your start date is two terms away, your student account will not be created until 2 weeks after the last Add/Drop date of the prior semester. These dates are published in the Academic Calendar here.


Before Classes Start…

Check your Student Email
Once you register for classes, you will receive an email to activate your student email. Important information will be sent to your student email address regarding financial, academic, and student support. Please see our Information Technology User Guide on how to access your student email.

Course Access – You will have access to your courses in Canvas on the Friday prior to the start of the session. We strongly recommend using Google Chrome, or Mozilla Firefox as your browser.

Additionally, it is recommended that you log in from a computer that is yours, not from a public computer or shared computer.

Navigating your Course(s) This Video will guide you through logging into the MyCC Portal and navigating Canvas.

CCG Student Resource Center – This is our hub of information located in Canvas, which is where your courses will exist. In the CCG Student Resource Center, I want to highlight the Advising/Student Support Tools section, as that contains info to help you feel settled!

CCG Handbook and Policies – Please make sure to read through the CCG Handbook and Policies before starting your course. The handbook can be found in the Student Resource Center or HERE.


Textbooks / Materials
A Materials Guide will be sent approximately two weeks prior to the start date. If you have questions about the textbook, please contact your instructor or your academic advisor.

Plan your Tuition Payment Options / Financial Aid
Tuition payment must be received before the term starts. To review your statement, please log into MyCC Student Portal, click on the finance tab, then click on Course and Fees Statement. Please see our Tuition Rates.

Three options for paying your tuition:
Make Payment in Full
Set up a payment plan
Complete all Financial Aid requirements

Billing and payment questions can be directed to Student Financial Services at sfs@cambridgecollege.edu.

If you register after the tuition due date, payment is required within 5 days of registration. Please note a $100.00 late fee will be applied to your account if payment is received after this due date.

For general student financial services questions or more specific information regarding payment plans, refunds, and health insurance, please reach out to our Student Financial Services coordinators, listed in the section below.

Apply for Financial Aid
Complete all steps as soon as possible.
Step 1: Create your FSA ID (Federal Student Aid ID, consisting of a username and password)

Step 2: Complete the 2024-25 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form. For assistance, please call the FAFSA hotline at 800-433-3243. Cambridge College's school code is 021829.

Step 3:
Complete the mandatory Entrance Counseling. All new students must complete the entrance loan counseling before the financial aid office can disburse loans to students’ accounts. Go to studentaid.gov, sign in, click on Entrance Counseling, and follow online instructions.

Step 4:
Complete the Master Promissory Note. All students must complete a Promissory Note before the financial aid office can disburse loans to students’ accounts. Go to studentaid.gov, sign in, click on Sign Master Promissory Note, and follow online instructions. For assistance, call Direct Loan Applicant Services at 1-800-557-7394.

Step 5:
Verification: you may be required to submit additional documents to create a financial aid award letter. These requirements will be listed as missing documents on MyCC Student Portal. Click on the finance tab, and view financial aid document tracking. Please complete and submit all
required supporting documentation as soon as possible.

To review your Student Account, log into MyCC Student Portal, click on the finance tab, and please see the following:

My Account Balance: Students can review their current balance and make payments

Course and Fee Statement: Students can review the details of their bills

View Financial Aid Document Tracking: Students can review financial aid documents that have been received or missing from their record

Financial Aid Awards: Students can review their financial aid award for the academic year
